Jakarta. Mobile Marketing Association, or MMA, has announced the three winners of their recent mobile marketing competition, Ideathon 2020.

MMA Ideathon challenged students, tech developers, and marketing professionals to solve one of the five available problem statements to help brands upscale their mobile marketing strategy, both during and after the Covid-19 pandemic. Enthusiasm soared high, with hundreds of participants joining the event.

Lazarus Network won first place by helping MMA APAC members build a collaborative database for general invalid traffic (GIVT) list for better advertising results and effective cost-saving.

The second prize went to K-Done, who came up with a marketing solution for Nestlé. The F&B company's problem statement revolved around enhancing the quality of life and contributing to a healthier future.

In third place was Alpha Sanctuary, who took on Reckitt Benckiser India's challenge to design a rough outline of an online platform for stain remover Vanish.

MMA also presented a special award for a team of two high school students, The Mastians.

Out of 333 signups, 150 qualified participants were qualified to submit their solution to the brands. Ten teams, including Curhatin Indonesia, made the short-list for the finals.

The finalists later presented their work plans and prototypes to the brand owners in an online event on July 24 to July 26.

The panel of judges included RTBAsia's co-founder and chief executive Andy Fan and Nestlé Indonesia's president director Ganesan R. Ampalavanar.

Go-Jek's senior vice president Reynold D'Silva, TOPDev's founder and chief executive Nguyen Huu Binh, and Quorev's digital business consultant and strategic advisor Sanchit Sanga were also present to select the winners.

"We have seen many interesting proposals presented by the selected participants which have shown how mobile can greatly impact a business," MMA Asia Pacific managing director Rohit Dadwal said in his statement last Tuesday.

"Ideathon is a grand opportunity for them to think outside the box and explore the mobile world," he said.
